he Journey of My Yes: From Obedience to Birthing A Nation
Part of sharing our lives is telling His story—testifying of God’s faithfulness and our obedience to His call.
So, here’s where it all began—the journey of my "yes." I had little understanding of what lay ahead, but I was led by the Spirit with clear instructions:
Sell your home, leave behind everything familiar, and start ministry—rescuing children.
God didn’t give me all the details. I didn’t yet realize I was walking in purpose.
A Cry for More—A Call to the Broken
For eight years, I served as a foster parent, pouring into the lives of children who were deeply wounded. But after years of struggle, obstacles, and frustration with a broken system, I told the Lord, “I’m done.” I took a break for a year and a half.
During that time, I cried out to the Lord and asked Him to make me uncomfortable in every place of comfort. I had no idea how that prayer would change my life.
Before this, I had attended the Pentecostal Fire Conference in Dawsonville, Georgia, desperate for a deeper encounter with God. During worship, I wept at the altar, surrendering my “yes.”
But something happened afterward.
When I returned home, the Lord began waking me up at 3:00 AM—night after night—to sit with Him in prayer, worship, and quiet obedience. And then He spoke so clearly:
“I am calling you to foster those broken children.”
Not long after, a young woman I met at the conference sent me a photo that had been posted from the event—a picture of me on my knees at the altar, crying out to God.
In that moment, He reminded me: “This was the moment you gave Me your yes.”
A Prophetic Confirmation—The Call to Texas
In June 2021, I visited Dallas and sensed the Lord was calling me there. I continued to pray for clarity.
Months later, at a Prophetic Encounter Conference in Sunnyside (October 2021), the Apostle declared:
“Some of you—God is calling you to move to Texas, Arizona, and Florida.”
I knew in that moment—this was my confirmation.
By November 2021, we began preparing for the move.
Leaving Everything Behind
This was not an easy decision. I never imagined leaving the place I had lived my whole life—especially leaving my children and grandchildren. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
But I obeyed.
After hearing the voice of the Lord, I packed, gave away, and sold most of my possessions. I left behind everything:
✔ My church
✔ My family and grandchildren
✔ My circle of influence and friends
✔ My daycare business of 16 years
✔ My city of birth
✔ My home of three years—sold with zero savings
In the summer of 2022, I relocated to Texas with my close friend Judie and my four beautiful girls: my adopted daughter Chloe and three foster daughters—Hailey, Jianna, and Riley—who will officially be adopted on May 19, 2025.
God’s Promise Sustained Me
This journey has been anything but easy. But it has been worth every single tear.
God never said it would be easy. But He promised it would be worth it.
Every step of the way, I’ve clung to His promise:
“What the enemy meant for evil, God turned it around for my good.”
Even when I didn’t understand it, I was living out His story.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
This was not just a move—it was the birthing of a mission.
A call to Rescue, Empower, and Transform
children, families, and communities
for the Kingdom of God.
